Psychological Evaluation: Incredibly immature, who takes nothing seriously. Is always cracking jokes, and is always running his mouth. Has been told time and time again to be quiet, but fails to listen. Private Rivera is easy going and constantly has a smile on his face. When a serious matter occurs he seems to know that it's serious and instantly calms his usual energetic self down. Takes orders well and does as he's told even if he is cracking jokes. Seems to have some impulsive behavior when it comes to women.

Brief History: Private Rivera was a factory worker when he was picked. He had two mates and had three children. Appeared to be a loving caring father, who took care of his family. Had average grades in school and was an exceptional athlete. His parents were also ordinary factory workers.

Bayla studied Alejandro Rivera’s chart. A latent power? Not controlled by him at all? She didn't think she'd ever heard of anyone having something like that - at least, no one who survived long past the experimentation phase. She was more than just intrigued, she was dead curious.

Once he stirred, Bayla immediately stood, eager to test out this new power. She let him gather his senses before she began speaking. ”Rise and shine Private Rivera! We've got a fun time waiting for us in the training room when you're ready to get up without puking or falling over.” She grinned. The meds were killer, and she'd been witness to plenty of Privates experiencing the potential unpleasant side-effects. So she stood back and let him take as much time as he needed to to get up.

Once he was standing, Bayla would clap her hands, ”Great! Now follow me!” Was she forgetting her station? A bit. Was she taking things a little too fast? Maybe. But she was excited for this test, even if it was a bit risky. Roman would hate to do it, that's probably why they'd picked her.

As they walked Bayla would explain anything he had questions about, though she'd be vague if he asked about his power. She wanted to make an impact on this one, pardon the pun.

When they reached the training room, all that was in it was a table with a bullet-proof vest and a handgun. ”Put that on, Private,” she ordered, unable to stop the grin slowly creeping onto her face. Once he complied, she would pick up the handgun, check that it was loaded and the safety was off, slow time for just a few seconds so he wouldn't inadvertently try to dodge and hurt himself...

And then promptly shoot him in the chest.

”By the way, you can absorb the impact of bullets. No hard feelings, right?” Bayla grinned cheekily and waited for the uproar.

Alejandro woke up groggily. It took him a few minutes to adjust. When he felt like he had a hold of his stomach contents, he got out off the bed and followed Sergent Naveen. She seemed extra excited about something, and he was a bit nervous about it, but also excited. Powers were so exciting!!!! He wanted to know what he could do. Maybe it was something awesome like flying! Maybe that's what she was so excited about. He got excited himself, and eagerly put the bullet proof vest on.

He was curious, and then his eyes about popped out of his head when Naveen took aim and then shot him. And yet....He heard the gun go off. It had fired a bullet right? He glanced down and sure enough there was a hole in the caviler. He looked up and then arched an eyebrow at her, seeing her grin. "Did that thing even fire a bullet? He pulled the vest off and turned it around and eyed the hole. He could see the smooshed bullet on the inside. "You shot me...." He said in surprise. He turned his head and turned to Naveen his brown eyes were wide. It looked like he was about to burst into a rant, but it was the complete opposite. "DO IT AGAIN!!!" He shouted excitedly pulling the vest on. He waved his hands at her. "Come on do it! And then slap me. Hard." He ordered. Wondering what other type of impact they had. "Ooooooh You should throw a sack of bricks at me!!!! Do we have any dodge balls?" He rambled. He paused and then his eyes got wide as they had a starry look in his eyes. "Please hit me with a tank. We have one of those right?"

Bayla laughed at Alejandro’s reaction, shaking her head. ”Boy, you’ crazy,” she drawled, but her lopsided grin revealed it as a tease. She already liked this guy, and with this incredible power of his… she had a feeling they’d have a fun time testing its limits. She lifted the handgun and shot him a few more times, using her scoping eyes to make sure she didn’t accidentally his unprotected flesh - his chart had said that could still hurt him, though not like it would other people.

”No, as far as I know we don’t have a tank, chill out Private Spaz,” she winked and waved him over, instructing him to take the vest off and leave it on the table, where she dropped the handgun. Once they were ready, she led him out of the training room and took him on a tour of the base, explaining what his new schedule would be and what his new life would be like as a powered person, as well as joking around and laughing with him.

When they reached the barracks for Phoenix Unit, Bayla grinned and waved Alejandro inside, ”Welcome to Gamma Base, Private Rivera. Don’t get yourself blown up,” she winked. ”You’ve got the rest of the day off, but tomorrow the work starts, so don’t party too hard.” She turned to leave, ”I’ll see you around, Spaz,” she tossed in a teasing voice over her shoulder before jogging off to her next duty.
