S U D O   E U R O P E A

The Sudo European Empire arose around the same period as the other two empires, in 2032 - 12 years after the start of a world war. This empire was composed of formerly European and African countries, and was the strongest of the three empires.

When Sudo Europea was bombed by Unica in 2067, most of their population - as well as over 99.9% of the entire world’s population - was annihilated, if not by the blast itself then by the deadly radiation and layer of atmospheric dust that blocked out the sun.

Unlike Unica, the Sudo Europeans remained above ground despite staggering losses and so developed a resistance to the nuclear radiation. Their resistance came at a cost, and their children became deformed, with mutated bodies too hideous to describe, but enhanced strength and endurance, self-healing, and the ability to thrive on the new, irradiated surface world.

Sudo Europea is currently the largest empire by far, with roughly 12,000 people, though their living birth rate is exceptionally low due to stillbirths of babies who could not survive the radiation.

K A I P A N   M I N O R

The Kaipan Minor Empire arose around the same period as the other two empires, in 2032 - 12 years after the start of a world war. This empire was composed of formerly Asian countries, and was the most technologically advanced of the three empires.

When Kaipan Minor was bombed by Unica in 2067, most of their population - as well as over 99.9% of the entire world’s population - was annihilated, if not by the blast itself then by the deadly radiation and layer of atmospheric dust that blocked out the sun.

Kaipan Minor did not develop a natural resistance to the radiation, but rather turned to advanced biotechnology to save them. Cybernetic implants, artificial limb replacements, and artificial organ replacements were only the start. This technology ensured the Kaipanese people’s survival on the face of a harsh and inhospitable world. Their new race of cyborgs live on the surface like the Sudo Europeans, now immune to radiation.

Kaipan Minor is second in population to Sudo Europea, with roughly 8,000 people. Unican intelligence is unsure of their reproductive rate or really of much else about this empire.

U N I C A

The Unican Empire arose around the same period as the other two empires, in 2032 - 12 years after the start of a world war. This empire was composed of formerly North and South American countries, and was the most willful of the three empires.

When Unica bombed the other empires in 2067, most of their own population - as well as over 99.9% of the entire world’s population - was annihilated, if not by the blast itself then by the deadly radiation and layer of atmospheric dust that blocked out the sun.

The Unican government had a contingency plan in place, and they gathered the few thousand survivors they could round up in time and retreated to an underground compound where they'd been establishing a radiation-proofed city for years. Many of those who originally came died shortly after from illness or radiation sickness, but nearly 3,000 survived. In the years after the nuclear fallout, Unica has prided itself on maintaining its sense of humanity, dignity, and freedom.

Unica is the smallest of the three empires, with a population around 4,500. However, with a surging birthrate, their population is steadily climbing higher and higher, and Unican leaders hope they can surpass Kaipan Minor within two more generations.
